At I learn we have 3 children’s day nurseries, rated Outstanding with Ofsted.

In 2006, Michelle; Director of I Learn, moved areas because of work and saw an opportunity to open a children’s day nursery. With no knowledge of the sector, at the time working as a Probation Officer; it was definitely a learning curve! In 2008 we opened and I initially relied on staff and managers to run the business.

During the next few years I not only tried to establish the business, but I was also mum to my growing family. Myself and my staff team work very hard to meet the needs of all the children who attend our settings and didn’t feel our inspection judgement reflected our commitment to our children and families, at this point I decided to go back to college and complete my Early Years Teacher Status. And still not content in understanding the sector I then went on to become an Ofsted Early Years Inspector.

I now see inspections from both sides, and the difficulties Early Years providers face on a regular basis. Not only do I see firsthand the struggles providers face from Ofsted, the government and the LA. But also a lot of providers are isolated and receive very little in terms of support.

It seems we are expected to provide more and more, whilst receiving less and less. Both in terms of support & finances! For this reason I am passionate in helping others understand what is expected of them, and to raise standards in the childcare sector.

In all of our training, support, monitoring and consultancy with other settings we go “Back to Basics”

Back to Basics

What works for one setting doesn’t work for another. Going back to Basics in all areas allows you to find your unique selling point!

Focus on what is important to you, your setting and the service you offer to children and their families.

Owners and managers often get overwhelmed with legislation and paperwork and become entrenched in dealing with the wrong issues, not focusing on what is important. Let us help you get rid of unwanted paperwork, improve teaching and learning outcomes for children to ensure they make rapid progress and ensure you get a positive Ofsted Outcome in your next inspection. We can help with building your confidence and train your staff to ensure they are delivering outstanding teaching and learning on a daily basis, so your next inspection is just like any other day!

We offer a wide range of training support from full day with you and your team to basic telephone support. Each service is bespoke dependent on need and finances!

We look forward to hearing from you.
